Accessibility Statement
Last updated: January 2, 2026
1. Our Commitment
Open Angle Post is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to achieve these goals.
We believe that access to information and thoughtful analysis should be available to everyone, regardless of ability. This commitment extends to all aspects of our platform, including design, development, and content.
2. Standards and Guidelines
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and user-friendly for everyone.
The guidelines have three levels of conformance (A, AA, and AAA). We are working toward Level AA conformance, which includes requirements such as:
- •Text alternatives for non-text content
- •Sufficient color contrast between text and background
- •Keyboard navigation support
- •Proper heading structure and semantic HTML
- •Form labels and error messages
3. Current Accessibility Features
We have implemented the following accessibility features:
3.1 Keyboard Navigation
All interactive elements can be accessed using a keyboard. We ensure proper focus indicators and logical tab order throughout the site.
- •All interactive elements (links, buttons, forms) are keyboard accessible using Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, and Space keys
- •Visible focus indicators highlight the current focus location
- •Skip links are provided where appropriate to allow users to skip to main content
- •Keyboard shortcuts are documented where they exist
3.2 Screen Reader Support
We use semantic HTML elements and ARIA labels where appropriate to provide meaningful information to screen reader users.
- •Proper heading hierarchy (h1, h2, h3, etc.) for document structure
- •ARIA labels and roles for interactive elements when semantic HTML is insufficient
- •Landmark roles (navigation, main, footer, etc.) to help users navigate
- •Form labels and error messages properly associated with form controls
- •Live regions for dynamic content updates where appropriate
We test our site with popular screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver to ensure compatibility.
3.3 Color and Contrast
We maintain sufficient color contrast ratios between text and background colors. We also support dark mode, which can be beneficial for users with certain visual sensitivities.
- •Text contrast ratios meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards (at least 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
- •Color is not used as the sole means of conveying information (e.g., form errors include text labels in addition to color coding)
- •Dark mode support for users who prefer lower brightness or reduced eye strain
- •User preference for dark/light mode is respected when available
3.4 Responsive Design
Our site is designed to be responsive and accessible on various devices and screen sizes, including mobile devices and tablets.
- •Content adapts to different screen sizes and orientations
- •Touch targets are at least 44x44 pixels for easy interaction on mobile devices
- •Content is readable and functional without requiring horizontal scrolling
- •Viewport meta tags ensure proper scaling on mobile devices
3.5 Alternative Text and Media
We provide alternative text for images and other non-text content to ensure that information is accessible to screen reader users.
- •All images include descriptive alt text that conveys the meaning or purpose of the image
- •Decorative images use empty alt attributes (alt="")
- •Video content includes captions where applicable
- •Audio content includes transcripts where applicable
3.6 Forms and Inputs
All forms are designed to be accessible:
- •All form fields have associated labels
- •Required fields are clearly indicated
- •Error messages are clearly associated with the relevant form field and provide guidance on how to fix errors
- •Form validation errors are announced to screen reader users
4. Known Limitations
Despite our efforts to ensure accessibility, there may be some limitations. We are aware of the following areas that may need improvement:
- •Some third-party content or embedded media may not be fully accessible
- •Older content may not meet current accessibility standards
- •Some interactive features may require further optimization for assistive technologies
We are actively working to address these limitations and improve accessibility across our platform.
5. Ongoing Improvements
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We are committed to:
- •Regular accessibility audits and testing
- •Training our team on accessibility best practices
- •Incorporating accessibility considerations into our design and development processes
- •Addressing accessibility issues as they are identified
- •Staying current with accessibility standards and best practices

- •Manual testing with keyboard-only navigation
- •Testing with screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver)
- •Browser zoom testing (up to 200%)
- •Color contrast verification using WCAG contrast checkers
We aim to address identified accessibility issues in a timely manner as part of our ongoing improvement process.
9. Compatibility with Assistive Technologies
We aim to ensure compatibility with a wide range of assistive technologies:
- •Screen Readers: NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack
- •Screen Magnifiers: ZoomText, Windows Magnifier, macOS Zoom
- •Voice Control Software: Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Windows Speech Recognition
- •Switch Control: Compatible with assistive switch devices
- •Browser Extensions: Compatible with popular accessibility browser extensions
If you use assistive technology that is not listed here and encounter compatibility issues, please contact us so we can work to improve compatibility.
10. Compliance
We are committed to compliance with applicable accessibility laws and regulations, including:
- •Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): Title III requirements for public accommodations
- •Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act: Requirements for federal agencies and contractors (where applicable)
